Singer Amika Shail and Actor Dishank Arora launch new season of Diamond Jewellery for LJOW !

This Valentine’s Day Leading Jewelers of the World (LJOW) launched an exciting and exquisite Season of Love Diamond Jewellery collection exclusively at Shoppers Stop’s outlets in Mumbai. The collection of stylish and lightweight designs in gold and diamonds was unveiled at a fashion show this evening at Shopper’s Stop, In Orbit Mall, Malad.

Each piece looks large and solid, but is actually extremely light and easy to wear. The secret? Hollow interiors that are not apparent to the viewer due to special techniques used in crafting. Stylish and lightweight, the pieces are also extremely affordable.

The famous fashion designer Nidhi Jain Kumar – famous for her Indo-Western blend, designed a special collection for the launch. Speaking on the occasion Nidhi said “Valentine is the day of love and truly nothing expresses love better than a diamond.  LJOW wished to commemorate the season with this special collection. The specially designed gowns for the collection are all inspired from the love, passion and talent that have gone in the making of this new collection.”

Singer and actress Amika Shail presented the collection in her melodious voice humming the tune of her song ‘Ittefaqan’ from the upcoming movie Wedding Anniversary. Amika who was the show-starter for the collection said, “The quality of the product is a direct reflection of the quality of the excellent team that LJOW has and I must say that it’s unparalleled and excellent.”

The show-stopper of the evening was the handsome TV star Dishank Arora. Speaking on the occasion Dishank said, “It is a great pleasure to be a part of the collection launch on this special day. The collection is so vibrant and lively that each piece of jewellery speaks to you. I am sure with the new collection and the visually charged up campaign the brand will have a high engagement level and a large tribe of fans.”

‘No Shave November’ campaign to benefit cancer patient.

“No Shave November” a campaign with a cause, a movement which is all about saving money from no shaving & the proceedings to be donated to NGO “Access Life Foundation”img_2569

The cause is initiated by MonishChandan, a famous blogger from Mumbai who deeply supports the cause and feels the need to give back to the society in a constructive way. This event aims to help cancer patients and amplifies understanding that one out of ten households has a cancer victim or a survivor. Due to the fast paced & changing lifestyles, there is an ever increasing case of cancer in our society.

To take this initiative forward, an event was organized on 3rd December at Punjab Grill, Andheri West. A panel discussion was held to understand about cancer & how it is affecting our lives.

Our Emcee for the day, Samaira Wallani kept the audience enthralled & made the cancer surviving kids dance & sing during the event.

The panel discussion was led by Maria Vasudevan- Clinical Hypnotherapist, Shiraz Siddique- Cancer Survivor, Ankeet Dave- Executive Director – Access Life Foundation  & Ms. Ritu Gorai – CCO of JAMMS a popular Moms group in Mumbai and moderated by Sayanti Banerjee.

Monish Chandan, Campaign head says “My initiative is to raise funds, educate & research for Cancer & spread the awareness.  If you believe it we can do it, nothing is impossible. That’s what I think one should help and support and give back to the society. The first step to beat Cancer is to accept that it us just an illness and not a death sentence”
While Ankeet Dave , Executive Director , Access Life Foundation says “Access Life is a non-profit organization, committed towards working with children diagnosed with cancer or undergoing cancer treatment and making a difference in their lives. The mission of Access Life is to offer a home-like environment for these families and try to improve the quality of life of these children by providing practical support services, educational resources and recreations programs”

While Shiraz Siddique , Cancer Survivor says ““We feel that cancer is economically, emotionally, physically debilitating disease. It takes entire team of people with the patient to fight the disease. It is important to have such groups and events that can raise funds for pre-post-during the treatment and provide basic amenities like food, clothing and shelter to outstation cancer patients. Such patients find it difficult to find proper places to stay and also have hygienically cooked healthy food to eat due to monetary problems. Other important aspect is that sharing of experience of cancer treatments helps others to remove fear from heart and fight the disease better as well as recover fast.”

Ritu Gorai, CCO of JAMMS says “JAMMs network is a multi award winning support group for mothers in Mumbai… We connect online, meet offline and engage in various charity interventions. NSN was a great initiative and we were happy to associate with this noble cause to create more awareness about cancer”

The panel discussion was followed by live music performance by talented duo performers Vilas Nikam and Ashutosh Virendra from Shankar Mahadevan Academy and closing act by classical fusion dancer Aavinash Payal & famous singer Siddharth Sharma. There was a special performance by Singer Ashar Anis khan who enthralled the audience with his impeccable voice and style.

Noted actor Shashi Kapoor visits Rambo’s International Circus Festival

Noted Actor Shashi Kapoor made a rare appearance to see the special show of Rambo Circus and its troupe of international artists in the indoor theatre of Prithivi. Davron Majidov, who is participating in the International Circus Festival from Russia, clearly was awed by the Kapoors and went up to Shashi Kapoor to take his blessings. “ I have been a fan of Mr Raj Kapoor who is very respected back in Russia, so it’s a great honour for me to perform today in front of the Late Raj Kapoor’s family. I am humbled ” said the 19 year old boy.

The entire troupe of Rambo Circus artists crowded around Shashi Kapoor delighted to see him doing well. Shashi Kapoor’s son Kunal and grandson Zahan were also present with Sujit Dilip, owner of Rambo Circus. Each one of the Rambo Circus family went up to Shashi Kapoor for his blessings and being photographed with him. Shashi Kapoorji was happy to indulge and sat through the entire performance.

The show at Prithivi Theatre was a super hit and ran to packed houses.

27thJanuary, 2013, Nashik: Following the merger between GroverVineyards Ltd (GVL) and Vale De Vin Pvt Ltd (VDV), Grover Zampa Vineyardsintroduced this year their most awaited annual event – The Great Grover Stomp to the blooming roster of fun events. The event which took place at the Grover Zampa Vineyards in Nashik on 27th January, 2013, became an instant hit with guests, with an array of fun activities.All the wine connoisseurs exchanged great conversations over wine. The stomping event was graced by some eminent personalities who were seen enjoying their affair with this ecstatic beverage!

Talking about this much awaited stomping event, Mr. Ravi Jain, CEO, Grover Zampa expressed, “We at Grover Zampa Vineyard are extremely thrilled to have all our guests at this vineyard and experience the great range of wines we offer. In today’s times, this beverage has gained immense acceptance by the Indian palate. The day ended with grape stomping by the guests marking the beginning of the harvest season.
