Their reluctance to fill in the positions of political leadership might slow down the process of strengthening our democracy. Therefore in order to bridge the gap between educated youth and political leadership, MAEER’s MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG) has proposed & appealed to the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, through a letter, to start Institutions of National Importance for Political Leadership & Governance. MIT-SOG has urged the Prime Minister that the Indian Institute of Political Leadership & Governance (IIPLG), comparable with IITs & IIMs in quality, be established in all states of India as Institutions of National Importance. The proposed institutions of IIPLG ideally should be run in a collaborative structure of respective State Legislative Assemblies, Both the House of Indian Parliament – Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha, Government of India and Private educational entities.

To take this particular vision ahead, the letter also appeals to initiate an All India Legislature Congress (AILC), a 3-day annual national conference under the aegis of Lok Sabha and Prime Minister’s patronage.

Rahul V. Karad, Founder, MIT School of Government & Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Student Parliament), Radhakrishhna Pillai, Director, Chanakya Institute of Public Leadership, Dr. Seema Rao, India’s 1st Woman Commando Trainer & Nanik Rupani, Chairman, Nutron Electronic System Pvt.
